Introduction to the Qualification

Level 2 Award for Emergency First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual.

Qualification Purpose

The purpose of the qualification is for learners to gain knowledge of mental health and understanding
of actions to take in an emergency for mental health.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level two in
literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.

Progression

Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:

  • Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health
  • Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

Structure

Learners must achieve 2 credits from 2 mandatory units.
