Introduction to the Qualification

Level 2 Certificate for Well-being and Activity Provision in Care (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual. The
qualification was developed in association with Norton Webb.

Qualification Purpose

The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with knowledge and skills which will enable
them to understand and organise social activities for individuals in a care setting. This qualification is
aimed at those who already work in the care sector.

Entry Requirements

Learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent and already be
employed or volunteer in care settings. The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and
above.

Progression

Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Care
  • Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
  • Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
  • Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support.

Structure

Learners must achieve all credit from all mandatory units and achieve a minimum of 12 credits from
optional units.
