Introduction to the Qualification
The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual.
Qualification Purpose
The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding and introduce
them to the skills required for counselling to prepare for further learning or training.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of level one in
literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
The recommended minimum age for this qualification is 16 years.
Progression
Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:
- Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
- Level 3 Certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills
Structure
Learners must complete all 4 mandatory units to achieve 16 credits.
