
Introduction to the Qualification
The TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Falls Prevention Awareness (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual. The
qualification was developed in association with The Skills Network.
Qualification Purpose
The purpose of this qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding in the area of
falls prevention, particularly in the context of health and social care. It is designed for those working
or looking to work with individuals at risk of falling.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of level one in
literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.
Progression
Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:
- Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of End of Life Care
- Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
- Level 3 Certificate in Stroke Care Management
- Level 3 Award in Awareness of Dementia
- Level 2 Diploma in Care
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care.
Learners may also wish to expand their knowledge in other areas of Health and Social Care by
undertaking one of the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Dignity and Safeguarding in Adult Health and Social Care (RQF)
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Nutrition and Health (RQF)
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF)
- Level 2 Certificate in Principles of End of Life Care (RQF).
